Reflection: Teaching students about Ancient Rome and how the city rose in fell is not only important for them to know for them to understand history but also to understand how governments, civilizations, etc. can rise and fall no matter how powerful they were/are.

Reflection: When looking at standard 7, objective 1 we see the importance of students understanding their affect on the environment and this mind map is a perfect way for them to see the ways the small things they do daily make a difference in the big picture.

Canva - Tool of Choice

Canva (www.canva.com) is such a simple yet creative tool that can accomplish so many different tasks. One example, is the Author Highlight poster I have made to demonstrate a way for students to show they have absorbed information without having to write an essay or report! This challenges them creatively and also is a positive way for students to use technology.

Reflection: Using these videos to teach different dances is a perfect way for students to analyze and interpret different dance styles.

Reflection: These brochures are a great way to give an introduction to ancient civilizations. Students can create their own brochures on an ancient civilization. This is a great way to get students to do research on a topic while also having a fun way to show that they know the information.
